Cortex Xpanse is an external attack surface management solution that continuously discovers an organization's internet-facing assets from the outside, from an attacker's point of view. By detecting unknown IP addresses, domains, cloud services, certificates and misconfigured systems, it associates them with corporate ownership and prioritizes the security risk they represent.
Making shadow IT assets and forgotten internet services that are missing from the corporate inventory visible allows action to be taken before attackers act. Presenting risks together with severity, reachability and ownership makes it easier to direct remediation teams to the right asset. Continuous monitoring means new exposures created by acquisitions, mergers, cloud changes or temporary projects are identified faster, and the external attack surface is reduced measurably.
